COLLABORATIONS WE LOVE.....

I am thrilled yet terrified to be giving my lecture tomorrow at 'In the Loop' 2015 at Glasgow university...its not often that get the chance to put notes down and collate photographs going back years of projects and collaborations...but that is exactly what I have been doing for what seems like weeks! So much to say and in so little time! I do hope some of you will be there tomorrow ...keeping all my fingers and toes crossed that it all goes to plan! Looking back I found a photograph from my Shorelines book which I created for Rowan Yarns...

  Thrilled with the great short film about our company! A chance to see inside my design room and the knitting studio in Largo, Scotland.  Thanks to Business Gateway who commissioned the film and STV Creative for making it. It shows the slow (largo) way in which a design is made from the sampling, to note taking, chart drawing, knitting, finishing and then sending out! Thanks to Sheila Greenwell, our brilliant technical person and Stephanie Laird, our graduate, who joined us this year to interpret some of our hand knit designs into machine knit for the Largo diffusion range.

So delighted with the wonderful collaboration with Graeme Black and 1436...the runway show in Edinburgh was fabulous and I was there with some of our principal knitters and Sheila Greenwell (my Right Hand Woman) to see and be part of the Show.... Check out the Interview with Graeme and me for CCTV.........
