Education is at the heart of what we do.  Essentially, sharing and learning is crucial for progress and sustainability while continuing to develop the long history of knitting, inspiring generation after generation.

Until the current Covid-19 Situation begins to resolve itself, no Workshops are planned at the current time. There is an expectation to be able to offer some workshops later in the year.

Our popular retreat to Spain during at the end of February/beginning of March 2023 is now in planning, and we hope to be able to open registration in the Autumn. Again, it is all dependent on the Covid-19 and associated travel restrictions.

Di and Sheila are presenting many workshops at the events they are attend during the year. However, there is always room to accommodate a group of students at the Studio should there be sufficient demand. Groups should be a minimum of 4 students paying £75 each for a full day course.

Should you have a group of students looking for some special tuition with Di and Sheila, then please do not hesitate to contact us regarding a bespoke training session for your group.

All training sessions, are held at the Studio at Comielaw, and a Scottish lunch of local specialities is included in the price of each special training session.

We can offer groups a wide range of skills based classes, including colourwork, lace, gansey, as well as how to create your own design. Please contact us if you wish to arrange a group visit to the studio for a class - tea and cake are always included!

We hold a knit club every Thursday at our Studio, from 5pm until 7pm where we chat about designs and try out different knitting techniques. It's great fun and ALL are welcome. Best to contact us first if you'd like to come along just in case it's cancelled at short notice.
