Workshop : An In-depth Exploration of Knitting and Finishing Techniques - Part One

Saturday in the Autumn - Date Still to be Set - 10am to 1:30pm.

In this 3 hour class we will explore all the Knitting Studio’s special techniques for knitting and final finishing to achieve a perfect result. This will include:

  • Cast on and Cast off.
  • Tension
  • Shaping and Picking-Up. Making a Gusset. 
  • Reading your knitting!
  • Mattress stitch for sewing up.
  • Edges.

 If you attend this Workshop, please bring:

  • Pairs of 3.25mm, 3.75mm and 4.00mm needles,
  • 2 small squares already knitted of approx 10cms to practice sewing up!
  • A Sewing Needle.

 

We will supply wool for the projects.

There will be a 30 minute break for Coffee and Cake.
