Workshop : Di and Sheila share their favourite Gansey techniques and motifs in a super cool scarf design.

Join us for a special class, exploring knitting in the gansey style. Special Gansey motifs such as cables, zigzags, fishing nets and harbour steps will be introduced as a Gansey sampler scarf. We will also explore an exciting new gusset discovered recently from a collection we are examining in house! We will discuss how to fit motifs from our book into your own designs.
The workshop will be from 10.00am to 1.30pm. Arrive for 10.00am to listen to an introduction about the writing of the Gansey Knitting Sourcebook and the story of the Gansey.
Each person will receive a beautiful Di Gilpin Project bag and wool to complete a small Gansey sampler scarf! We will also be giving a Gansey wristlet pattern for everyone to take away to try knitting in the round!
If you attend this Workshop, please bring:
- 3.25mm or 3.75mm needles double pointed needles.
- a finer cable needle.
