Blue Moon Wrap : Pattern

The Blue Moon Wrap was inspired by my love of the incredible women abstract artists of the last century and in particular Sophie Tauber-Arp. Sophie’s work covers beading, tapestry, painting, drawing and even furniture and marionettes. Bold lines and her fabulous use of colour, shape and form resonate with me. I draw a great deal and Blue Moon emerged one day as I was playing with line and colour in the studio. It reflects my love of the natural world and the ebb and flow of life.

The Blue Moon Pattern is also now available as a part of a knitting kit following on from a really wonderful dedicated Knit-A-Long with Tribe Yarns in London.  

To kit the Pattern in the original Di Gilpin colours, you will need:

10 Balls Di Gilpin Lalland DK Lambswool (100% lambswool spun in Scotland, finished in Yorkshire)     -     50 gram ball. 175 metres/190 yards.

         Colourway:   

             Colour A :            Furze           2 balls

             Colour B :            Coral            3 balls

             Colour C :            Bellrock       1 ball

             Colour D :            Laggan        2 balls

             Colour E :            Coruisk         2 balls

You will also need: Needles (not included with the pattern)

         1 pair 3.75mm (UK 9, US 5) 14 inch straight needles / Long Circular Equivalent.
